I dreamt I was a giant

and everything seemed so far away. And I could not feel things properly in my hands because my fingers were so huge and unwieldy. Everything was, as if, numb and so for a long time I did not know I was a giant, I simply thought that my hands and feet, my fingers had become swollen beyond comprehension and were incredibly numb.

Now I know I was a giant.

I am interested in lucid dreaming. As with many things, I am only interested and have done very little to follow up on this as yet.  I have come across a book ‘Lucid Dreams’ by Celia Green that I intend to read. My interest goes back some 5 or 6 years, however it lay dormant until recently when I watched ‘ Waking Life’ on DVD at Phil’s.  Anyone who has been browsing this blog with some regularity will have recognised by now the number of ‘Waking Life’ clips that litter my posts. That’s because this is a fantastic movie – chockablock full of big thought-provoking restless ideas, and wonderfully presented through ‘live’ animation (for wont of a more technical term).  The movie is directed by Richard Linklater, and if you really like to think (and think about that first) then this is a great movie to own, and I say own rather than rent, because it may be best watched in parts – there is a LOT to think about in this movie.  And of course there is a lot more to life that thinking, like not-thinking. Ha

And here is just a little bit more from ‘Waking Life’ and just a little bit more about lucid dreaming…
